The health problems in meat farming\u00a0<\/strong>are different in\u00a0incidence and severity in relation to the breed’s characteristics, in the farming methods of breeding of the farm of origin, in the management before transport, in the transport stress extent, in the interaction with other animals and with humans and in the farming methods in the destination farm. <\/strong>Within each of these factors there are an enormous variables amount capable of influencing the morbidity and\u00a0some pathologies severity\u00a0compared to others.<\/p>\n

The historical bibliography shows incontrovertibly that:\u00a0<\/strong>a lot of animals that are affected by an important sanitary problems passage, loses from 80 g to 130 g of head\/day increase during the whole farming period (180 days).<\/strong><\/p>\n

In addition to all this, the Community legislation<\/strong> has signed:\u00a0THE ABSOLUTE AND IMPERATIVE ANTIBIOTIC PROPHYLAXIS STRATEGIES PROHIBITION.\u00a0<\/strong>The Community regulatory framework, which came into force on 27 January 2023, resolved the absolute and peremptory antibiotic prophylaxis strategy prohibition on meat supply chain farms even in the face of an obvious risk.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The NEW COMMUNITY AGRICULTURAL POLICY,<\/strong>\u00a0within the zootechnical ecosystem, has further strengthened the concept of NOT ANTIBIOTICS USE, even arranging rewards for each animal based on the medicine average quantity used during the 180 days of farm.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Therefore, the importance of farming animals in a healthy environment and with specific methods that minimize health problems is a priority objective for every livestock company,\u00a0not only due to the\u00a0need to limit inefficiencies\u00a0in an increasingly economically in difficulty but also to\u00a0guarantee the\u00a0animal welfare highest levels and\u00a0the lowest antibiotics consumption.<\/strong><\/p>\n
