DRY CARE – NUTRITIONAL SOLUTION USEFULL FOR SINGLE DRY GROUP THAT PREVENTS CLINICAL AND SUBCLINICAL HYPOCALCEMIA IN DAIRY COWS

The GRANDA TEAM’s DRY-CARE nutritional solution is a new approach to managing hypocalcemia specially formulated for all farms where there is the single dry group (- 60 days before calving) in order to offer an effective, simple and highly performing solution.

The hypocalcemia prevention, obtained with DRY CARE solution useis based on the vitamin D3 correct reintegration/storage. This innovative solution also has a stimulating effect on the dairy cow immune function dring dry period and positive repercussions on uterus and breast health at the calving time.

DRY-CARE solution creation and development, required GRANDA TEAM a long tests and field trials series, in order to validate a suitable nutritional solution that reintegrates the real HYPOAVITAMINOSIS D3 existence in dairy cow during dry period. We have therefore developed the new product formulation.

paresis puerperalis treatment in dairy cows / in cattle

with the aim of the blood content of Vitamin D3 restoring and its storage in the cow’s adipose tissue, using technologies aimed at both ruminal protection and intestinal bioavailability.

DRY-CARE solution added to the ration for the entire dry period:

SIMPLIFIES and STANDARDIZES the daily process linked to dry ration management compared to an anion strategy (DCAD)

MINIMIZES diagnostic checks

Blood tests to check the blood Calcium (Ca+) ionized fraction and urine tests to check potassium (K) excretion are reduced to once a month compared to a usual weekly check to be carried out when a simple anionic strategy is implemented.

DOES NOT NEED a food strategy change (it integrates perfectly with the ration used)

Significantly REDUCES the POST-PARTUM DISEASES (clinical and subclinical hypocalcemia, metritis, retained placenta) impact

Significantly INCREASES the daily MILK PRODUCTION as the cows emerge healthy from the peripartum period
